On December 10, 2025, in a rural community in Pakistan, a six-year-old Christian girl was brutally raped after being sent to attend her usual evening tutoring. When the child failed to return home, her father began searching for her and went to the tutoring location, where he heard his daughter crying for help.
He discovered that she had been violently assaulted inside a nearby residence. The little girl was found in critical condition, covered in blood and crying in pain. Emergency services were immediately contacted, and police arrived shortly afterward to take an initial report.
The accused, a young man from the local community, fled the scene following the attack but was later taken into custody. Police registered the case under Pakistan’s criminal laws related to sexual violence and forwarded it to a specialized investigation unit for further action.
The child was rushed for medical treatment and remains in life-threatening condition.
Pressure, Threats, and Fear
Since filing the case, the child’s family—who belong to a Christian minority community—have faced intense pressure to withdraw their complaint. According to the father, individuals connected to the accused have repeatedly demanded that the family drop the charges, claiming they will secure the attacker’s release.
More alarmingly, the family reports receiving daily death threats, warning that they will be killed if they continue to pursue justice. The threats have left the family living in constant fear, with no sense of safety in their own community.
Despite their child’s critical condition, the parents have refused to withdraw the case. They are asking only for justice—so their daughter’s suffering is not ignored, and protection—so they can remain alive and care for her.
Call for Protection and Justice
A caseworker from CAPC has spoken with the family, and determined that their most urgent pressing needs are:
- Immediate protection from further threats
- Safe housing away from those intimidating them
- A fair and transparent legal process
This case highlights the extreme vulnerability faced by Christian families in parts of Pakistan, where seeking justice can expose victims to intimidation, violence, and the risk of further persecution. Young girls targeted to rape convert very easily; after such a violation in that society they may have no other option. In many similar cases, the victim’s family must remain quiet to protect them from the predator.
