Flood Distribution

Distribution Has Already Begun

We were so pleased to be able to begin to meet some of the urgent needs by this distribution in two areas, providing necessities to 350 people.

However, the need goes on, and is so much greater.  This is what our field workers are reporting:

Rehabilitation is very important but in these floods the relief phase is going to last longer than usual emergencies. People are still under the open sky without shelter, proper food & water and safety issues. With open defecation & stagnant water surrounding them, waterborne diseases, gastro, dengue fever and skin diseases are big issues and costing the lives of the children. With the inability to access health facilities and the lack of healthcare provision, pregnant women are facing challenges of safe pregnancies, safe child birth and neonatal morbidity.
